Foodie Festival & Columbia Road Flower Market

This weekend has been a fairly busy one, I spent pretty much all of it in East London. Food and cocktails were the main recurring theme as we hopped from the Christmas Foodie Festival to the first ever fdbloggers meeting. It was great to meet some fellow foodies and have a nice chat over some cocktails, thank you Loriley for organising!

The Foodie Festival was a chance to sample various meats, cheese and alcohol in the run up to Christmas. I particularly enjoyed the Pistachio Cream by Marvellous Sicily, it's like Nutella but better. It's completely natural and made with pistachios, my favourite nut!

We headed to Pho for some dinner having walked past it earlier in the day and developed a craving. You can't go wrong with a massive bowl of noodles! Having well lined our stomachs we headed to Barrio in Shoreditch to meet the fdbloggers. Unfortunately I didn't manage to take any photos as I was too busy sipping on cocktails and chatting. It was really nice to meet everyone and put some faces to the twitter handles.

We managed to drag ourselves out of bed on Sunday for a stroll round Columbia Road Flower Market. I picked up a few bunches of flowers, some roses and hydrangeas for my bedroom. There was also some real Christmas trees dotted around, I was so tempted to buy one. Not too sure how I would've made it back to Essex though with one stuffed into my tiny car!

How was your weekend?
